Stella McCartney launched her label in 2001. A committed vegetarian and early adopter of environmentally conscious practices, the designer uses an innovative selection of recycled materials, low-impact vegan fur alternatives and organic cotton among other things when crafting her signature brand of sportswear-inspired collections. The brand has been a member of the Ethical Trading Initiative since 2012, and set up Stella McCartney Cares, a non-profit organization with a dual focus on charity and sustainability.
