ALMOSTBLACK is established in 2015 by Shunta Nakajima, who was an assistant designer at Raf Simons' atelier, and Masateru Kawase, who has a lot of experience with the domestic brands.
The brand name ALMOSTBLACK means "brownness" that makes you feel a spirit of Japanese people, and with the concept of "POST JAPONISM", it combines "Japanese aesthetics" and "world culture" and expresses a new "strong thing".
The collection "A-Un / Aun" was launched in the collaboration with artist Kazuo Shiraga (1924-2008) in SS22 .
